We have to ask ourselves if government interference is helping or hurting. Based on some research I learned that people who have experienced trauma such as neglect, verbal and physical abuse in their childhood often have to self medicate. The way government has been handling addicts by imprisoning them puts them back into that trauma. How are addicts going to get well? Gary Johnson is right when he says government should get out of the way.

Nothing good seems to be coming out of this drug war. Non violent people are in jail that should be in rehab. Illegal immigration due to the fact that people need to get away from the violence from the cartels. The billions spent on funding this DEA has proved to be a failure. Lets find another way to solve this problem without government.
Hopefully rehab will get to the root cause of why we as a nation feel we have to self medicate.

Thanks for sharing, Georgia. I totally agree that non violent people end up in jail instead in rehab…
