Snoop Dogg’s problems surrounding his drug use

Snoop Dogg (most recently a.k.a. Snoop Lion) is a bona fide star with record-selling albums and world-wide fame. Back in 2002 he announced that he’d quit smoking marijuana, but shortly after this announcement, he slipped back into the old habit. From our point of view, besides great music, drugs are an identifiable part of his image and lifestyle.

However, he has had many legal issues around his drug use and possession in the past. On top of charges for cocaine and marijuana use, he’s been involved in murder trials and even been banned from visiting some countries! So, how much should we be modeling our ideas or behaviors around Snoop’s statements?

In our opinion, no matter who you are, when you use drugs, you face the physical and psychological side effects, the underlying health risks, and legal troubles. While the celebrity life is glamorous… drug and alcohol addiction ARE NOT.
