1. Alcohol. Many of the people who knew him have testified that when he drank, he displayed bursts of atypical, physical violence. He was even accused by at least two women for attacking and abusing them while he was drunk.

2. Marijuana. One of the biggest problems with Jimi’s marijuana abuse is that he was mixing it with alcohol and other drugs.

3. LSD. Lysergic Acid Diethylamide = a psychedelic drug that causes hallucinations. The fact that it is non-addictive, doesn’t make it “safe”. On the contrary, the effects of alteration of time and space, alongside the hallucinations can lead to unintentional self-harm or accidents.

4. Amphetamine. This group of drugs includes stimulants, hallucinogens and entactogens. It is said that Jimi used them during his music tours.

  1. Jimi Hendrix was also a user of pharmaceuticals like barbiturates & benzodiazepines. In fact, he died of an overdose of alcohol and Vesperax, a barbituate sleeping pill. He was also a heroin addict for most of his career. Not many people know about the latter. Back in the late 1960s using IV drugs was very, very taboo and thus kept private.

I saw it with my own eyes. This is from personally being around him and during those times.
