Is Spice safe?

Sold at newspaper stands, head shops, online stores and convenience stores, Spice may have a reputation to be a “safe” and “natural” drug. BUT this belief is far from the truth. Spice or synthetic cannabis produces many dangerous adverse effects and has a high addictive potential. Spice is widely abused since it cannot be detected on drug tests and is available on every corner, which adds to the severity of the issue.

How does Spice work in the brain to cause addiction?

Spice binds to the cannabinoid receptors with a much higher potency and creates up to ten times stronger effects compared to natural marijuana. The potency of the drug depends on which synthetic cannabinoids you take, the route of administration and how much/how often you ingest. Here are a few signs and symptoms that indicate you are “hooked” on Spice and may need professional addiction help:
