		<description>I totally agree with this. I tested with an above average IQ as a child, and indeed did grow up to deal with alcoholism and drug addiction. I think the key is early intervention. Ensure children with higher learning capacity are adequately challenged in their curriculum to avoid the boredom and frustration that goes along with being just a bit ahead of one&#039;s peers. 
I certainly feel that had I been met with academics that were interesting, new, and above all, challenging, I could have flourished much sooner, rather than spend so many years floundering.</description>
