Artificial freedom. Thats the High video games, and especially Role playing games (RPG’s) offer the user in my opinion. In a world increasingly confining by the excessive rule of law, including civil law, people feel at a loss for liberty. We find even more escape in an artificial reality which directly stimulates several of the senses, than we would in an enhanced imaginary, or fugue state induced by chemicals.

Wow that is interesting stuff. Addicted to video games. Drugs are the real plague though, I wish my brother had only been addicted to video games! Have a great day. Don

I wonder how many people who are heavily involved in gaming or better yet are addicted to it, have basically an addictive personality? I know alot of people who are addicted to meth spend countless hours playing video games.
